Atlantic City Free Concert Series

The sounds of R&B, soul, disco and jazz will once again fill the air when the Atlantic City Summer Concert Series returns to Gardner’s Basin.

The five-show series, co-sponsored by the City of Atlantic City and Atlantic City Free Public Library, kicks off 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4. The concerts are free and open to the public.

The Atlantic City Summer Concert Series features an exciting mix of nationally known artists and local favorites.
•    Saturday, June 4 – Blue Magic with Ted Mills and B.T. Express will headline the show. Side by Sol, Tony Day and Across the Globe, Judah and Paradise, and American Dirt Band will open the show.
•    Saturday, June 25 – Manhattans with Gerald Alston and GQ will headline the show. B.A.D., David Cedeno and His Orchestra, Essence Pittman and The Bob Sterling Band will open the show.

•    Saturday, July 16 – Temptations Review with Dennis Edwards, Full Force and Chubb Rock will headline the show. The Rick Cason Band, Angela Burton and Passion, and Eddie Morgan Rek’d 4 Jazz will open the show.
•    Saturday, Aug. 6 – Russell Thompkins and The New Stylistics, Joe Bataan’s Salsoul Orchestra, and D-Train will headline the show. Special Occasion and The Mo’Better Revue, and Motown Revue will open the show.
•    Saturday, Aug. 27 – Sugarfoot’s Ohio Players, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes with Sharon Paige and Alyson Williams will headline the show. Jackie Greggs and Philly Gumbo will open the show.

DJ Maurice “The Voice” Watts from 90.3 FM in New York will emcee each of the shows.
The schedule is subject to change. The raindate for postponed shows will be Sunday of that same weekend.
All shows begin at 1 p.m. and end at dusk at Historic Gardner’s Basin, just 15 miles from the Colonial Inn  in Atlantic City, .
